Evorian grew out of years spent at small desks, watching what actually breaks under deadline — and fixing that first.
OUR STORY
Started by people who missed deadlines too.
Evorian began as a set of notes passed between a handful of editors who kept running into the same problems — too many stories promised, too few written down, corrections handled differently depending on who was on shift that week.
Rather than write another guide nobody would open, we started sitting in on actual planning meetings and asking what would help right now. The recommendations we give today come from that habit: watch first, then write something short enough to be used.
What drives the work hasn't changed. Independent outlets across Indonesia are stretched thin, and a little structure, chosen carefully, goes further than another tool or platform ever could.

Written, not spoken
Advice that only lives in a meeting gets forgotten. Everything we recommend is put on paper someone new can pick up.

Scoped, not open-ended
Every engagement has a defined length. We'd rather finish something useful than start something vague.

Built for small teams
We don't scale advice down from a large newsroom. Everything starts from the constraints of a desk with fewer than ten people.
